The Creation Process

1) The Selection

It begins in the stackhouse at Clark's Hardwood in The Heights, selecting each cedar board for its tone and grain.

2) The First Cut

Each piece is measured and trimmed on the miter saw, balancing accuracy with instinct.

3) The Form

The cut pieces are laid out and organized, each part prepared for assembly.

4) Assembly

Pieces come together on the workbench - stainless steel screws, nickel-plated rods, and waterproof printed images to form the nearly finished planter.

5) The Finish

The cedar is sealed and finished, deepening the grain and completing the planter for outdoor use.
